Saudi giants Al-Hilal are reportedly looking to appoint a new chief executive and have set their sights on Germany legend Oliver Kahn.
According to a report by Asharq Al-Awsat, Al-Hilal have expressed interest in Kahn’s services and made a huge offer to acquire him as their new CEO.
Kahn was recently in Saudi Arabia to visit Al-Hilal’s training ground the night before their league clash against Al-Riyadh on Friday.
The former goalkeeper was part of Bayern Munich’s administration since 2021 but was relieved of his duties back in May along with former sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic.
The pair were dismissed after a disappointing year at the Allianz Arena that saw the German champions nearly miss out on all trophies last season.
However, a heroic display against FC Koln and a Borussia Dortmund slip-up on the final matchday allowed Bayern to retain the Bundesliga title for the 11th consecutive year.
After a four-month hiatus, Kahn could be tempted to be part of Al-Hilal’s management with the club keen on having the 54-year-old lead their long-term project.
Al-Hilal have had a stunning transfer window bringing in some of the world’s best players in Neymar, Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergej Milinković-Savić, Malcom of Brazil, Rúben Neves, Morocco’s Yassine Bounou, and Aleksandar Mitrovic from Fulham.
