Al-Hilal’s biggest signing ever Neymar is reportedly causing a stir in the Saudi Pro League side’s dressing room with the Brazilian reportedly making a significant demand.
During the summer transfer window, Neymar ended his six-year stint at Paris Saint Germain after he completed a move to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal for a reported fee of around £77 million.
The Brazilian has been frustrated during his time in the Middle East as his injury issues, which plagued the Brazilian’s career during his time in Paris, have reared their ugly head again.
The forward has struggled and this has led to questions being asked about the Brazilian and whether he was the right signing for the club.
Since joining Al Hilal, the Brazilian has made just three appearances across all competitions and has provided two assists.
What does the report say
According to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, Neymar wants the club to sack Jesus after he was harshly reprimanded for his below-par performance and bad attitude.
The report also claimed that club directors met with Jesus’ agent and warned him of the possibility of terminating the coach’s contract if Al Hilal’s performance does not improve in the near future.
This would imply that, similar to PSG, the player power may well be linked to the players they have signed who are on big wages.
Neymar has struggled since his move so it does seem unfair for the Brazilian to be unhappy with the manager’s performance considering the forward hasn’t been fit enough to play regularly.
The club are top of the table but things don’t seem to be rosy in the garden for the Saudi side.
