Brazilian winger Neymar has hit back at reports that he wants Al-Hilal manager Jorge Jesus sacked as manager of the Middle Eastern side.
Neymar, who joined the club from Paris Saint-Germain for £77 million, has struggled since his move to the Saudi Pro League and has played just three times.
There were reports that the forward had urged the club to sack Jesus and that the club would listen to Neymar and dismiss the coach if necessary.
He was unable to play immediately after making the switch to Saudi Arabia but since his debut for Al-Hilal, the 31-year-old has got more minutes in the tank.
The forward, however, was not named in the squad for their 1-0 King Cup Champions win against Al Jabalain on Monday.
This has led to speculation that there has been a fallout between the pair but Neymar has taken to social media to dismiss these claims.
Neymar’s rebuttal
The winger replied to the social media page fiqueiputomesmo_ that posted the news and branded it as fake news.
“Lies… Y’all got to stop believing these things, pages like this… with millions of followers you can’t keep posting fake news,” the former Barcelona winger said.
“With all due respect in the world, I ask you to stop this. This is a lot of disrespect.”
Al-Hilal had reappointed the Portuguese coach earlier this summer, after he led them to Saudi Super Cup glory during the 2018-19 season.
The Saudi side, extraordinarily, are yet to be beaten in the Pro League this season but seemingly there is beginning to be pressure put on the former SL Benfica coach from above.
Al-Hilal were top of the table but having dropped points to Damac on the weekend, they now sit second behind Cristiano Ronalod’s Al-Nassr.
