Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has reportedly performed a U-turn over his future which comes as a huge blow for Al-Hilal, who were interested in the midfielder
According to L’Equipe, the midfielder has changed his mind about leaving Paris with the Italian now wanting to stay despite a feud between himself and new manager Luis Enrique.
The Italy midfielder was set to leave PSG after a trophy-laden career winning nine Ligue 1 titles, nine French Super Cups, and making one Champions League Final appearance.
Verratti, according to the report, was previously unhappy about how Enrique set up the team and the transition from former boss Christophe Galtier to the former Barcelona boss.
The former Pescara midfielder had been heavily linked with a move to Al-Hilal, with Al-Ahli also reportedly circling and wanting to make a bid for the 30-year-old midfielder.
It now seems the midfielder is set to snub the interest from the Middle East and stay in the French capital with the hope that the Parisian side can finally put an end to their UEFA Champions League trophy drought.

L’Equipe goes on to say that despite the midfielder’s concerns about Enrique’s management of the club since he arrived but after emergency meetings, it seems to have been resolved with the midfielder now willing to stay in a bizarre turnaround.
Verratti, since he made the move to the Ligue 1 side in 2012, has 49 goal contributions in 276 Ligue 1 appearances, and has registered three goals and nine assists in the Champions League.
It comes after the Italian had agreed personal terms with Al-Hilal with a three-year contract already agreed according to Fabrizio Romano. It now seems the midfielder will stay, whether the same can be said of his teammate and star player Kylian Mbappe, remains to be seen.
