Mohamed Salah has been heavily linked with a move away from Liverpool this summer with Al-Ittihad reportedly the Saudi side with the strongest amount of interest in the 31-year-old.
The Saudi side, who have signed one of his former Liverpool teammates in Fabinho, were ready to offer over £120 million for the winger to try and prize him away from Anfield.
However, it seems another Saudi side could be ready to throw another spanner in the works if Ittihad fails to complete the signing of the former Chelsea forward, which is looking likely.
According to Ben Jacobs, on X, Al-Hilal, who have already splashed big bucks on Paris Saint Germain forward Neymar, could be ready to splash the cash again on Salah next summer.
This would only be the case if Nuno Espirito Santo’s side failed to complete the signing of the winger before the transfer window closes on the 20th of September.
Frightening front three
If Al-Hilal were to pull off the signing of the Premier League legend, then they would undoubtedly have one of the best, if not the best, attacking front three in the division.
After the signing of Neymar and also Aleksandar Mitrovic from Fulham for around £45 million, adding Salah, a guarantee with his superb output of goals across a season, they would have a front three that would strike fear into any defence.
The fee may well be an expensive one and no doubt the Egyptian, who would be 32 if he made the move next summer, would be astronomical. There were reports that Al-Ittihad were ready to offer Salah a salary of over £100 million a year, which in itself is an incredible amount of money.
