Al-Hilal are reportedly interested in highly-rated midfielder Thiago Almada from Atlanta United with the Saudi side reportedly offering huge wages for the youngster.
The midfielder has been a success in the MLS and the Saudi side, who have already been able to attract Brazilian forward Neymar to the division from Paris Saint Germain for a fee in the region of £77 million, are seemingly trying to target one of the world’s best talents.
The 22-year-old is a superb attacking midfielder, and it wouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone if Almada decided his time in America had come to an end and Europe or maybe even Saudi Arabia awaited.
According to the report from TNT Sports Argentina, the Saudi side made a huge offer for the midfielder a few weeks back but the 22-year-old decided that his next move wouldn’t be to the Middle East and turned their proposal down, which was described as ‘huge’ by the report.

Europe’s Interest in Almada
According to De Telegraaf, a Dutch outlet, Ajax have lodged a £12 million offer for the Argentine midfielder who has been tearing it up in the MLS for the past few years.
The move to the Dutch side certainly makes more sense, seemingly, from the player’s perspective. He could move to one of Europe’s top leagues, outside of the big five, develop at a superb club and probably earn another big move somewhere else in the future if he performs as would be expected from him.
For Al-Hilal, who have signed Neymar, Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly this summer, just to name a few, will surely still be in the market in case any big opportunities present themselves in the final few weeks of the transfer window, with the window for transfers closing on the 20th of September.
