Al-Hilal are still not giving up on signing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli, despite seeing two offers for the forward rejected.
According to a report from the Italian outlet La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Osimhen is still being courted by Al-Hilal but a deal to sign the forward is far from simple.
As well as this the Saudi side, who failed in their ambitious pursuit of Kylian Mbappe, are now seriously interested in making Osimhen one of the most expensive players in football history.
Al-Hilal are ready to offer €40 million a year for the Nigerian over a five-year contract, so the forward would earn €200 million (£172 million) over the length of his contract.
This would be an extraordinary amount of money for the Napoli forward but it still remains unclear whether the forward would make the move to Al-Hilal.

Napoli continues to reject offers for Osimhen
According to the same report, despite the eyewatering amounts of money on offer from the Saudi side, Napoli are still refusing to accept any offers for the forward.
Despite this, the Saudi side remains insistent that the forward can be prized away from the Scudetto winners. Whether Osimhen would make the move to the Saudi Pro League remains to be seen.
The Nigerian forward scored 26 goals in 30 Serie A starts for the Italian side as they won their first Scudetto since 1990. The former Lille forward was superb throughout the season and it would be one huge coup if they pulled off the signing of Osimhen.
Despite being frustrated in their chase for a world-class forward, they continue to push for the superb striker and Al-Hilal will be hoping to add to Kalidou Koulibaly with his former teammate in Osimhen.
The forward would be elevated to the best player in the division if he makes the move to the Saudi Pro League, although that remains in the balance, as things stand.
