Al-Hilal are reportedly lining up a potential managerial replacement for Jorge Jesus after their slump in form in recent weeks.
The Riyadh giants have had an unbeaten start to the new season after making major summer signings led by the £77 million arrival of Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain.
After spending big in the transfer window, Al-Hilal have struggled for form in the last two weeks after suffering back-to-back draws against Uzbek side AGMK and Saudi Pro League outfit Damac.
Recent reports also confirmed a fallout between Jorge Jesus and Neymar with the latter demanding the club to dismiss the Portuguese manager.
However, both the player and manager denied such claims with Jesus confirming that he has a good relationship with Neymar following their cup victory over Al-Jabalain on Monday.
Despite that, it seems that Jesus’ time in Saudi Arabia could be coming to an end now as Al-Hilal are reportedly looking for other candidates.
According to multiple Saudi reports, Al-Hilal are planning to bring in either former Benfica boss Rui Vitoria or ex-Austria head coach Marcel Koller.
Vitoria is currently leading the Egyptian national team, who will take part in the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in January.
Meanwhile, Koller is managing African and Egyptian champions Al Ahly and the Swiss coach has a contract in Cairo that runs until June of next year.
Al-Hilal have a difficult run of games coming up as they are set to face Yannick Carrasco’s Al-Shabab, Nassaji Mazandaran, and Al-Akhdoud before the upcoming international break.
