Brazilian forward Neymar is set to complete his move to Al-Hilal later this week after the two sides reached an agreement over the transfer of the former Barcelona winger.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the winger has passed his medical with the Saudi side, and the fee, according to The Guardian, is in the region of €100million (£86 million) for the 31-year-old.
The signing of the Brazilian will finally bring to an end their search of the market trying to sign a world-class player, after they failed with Neymar’s teammate Kylian Mbappe and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, they finally have their star player in Neymar.
All of the required documents for the forward to complete the move to the Saudi side have been ratified and completed. The medical has also been completed and the Brazilian will travel to the Middle East later this week but not today as was the original plan.
What would Neymar bring?
The Brazilian, who joined Paris Saint Germain for £200 million according to the BBC, will arguably be the second biggest name in the division behind Cristiano Ronaldo, and the signing of the winger could well be the difference maker for the Saudi side to challenge for the highly competitive Saudi Pro League.
The forward will sign a two-year contract with the Saudi side and the hope will be that the impact made by the 31-year-old will go beyond the league and more about the reputation of the division and the country due to the sheer star power that Neymar brings to the division.
Neymar’s future at PSG was always up in the air after he was made to train with the players who the club wanted to get rid of alongside Mbappe, but the Frenchman has been reinstated, Neymar, though, is set to end his stay in the French capital.
