Neymar is trying to convince Marco Verratti to follow in his footsteps and make the move to the Saudi side Al-Hilal this summer.
The Brazilian forward completed his move to the Saudi side this week.
He is hoping to convince the Italian midfielder that a move away from Paris Saint-Germain to Al-Hilal is the right thing to do and to continue their link-up at club level.
Like the former Barcelona man, Marco Verratti is one of the players who have been told they are surplus to requirements in the French capital.
The Italian midfielder, who has been with PSG for 11 seasons, also has an offer on the table from Al-Hilal, and Neymar is looking to convince the Euro 2020 winner to join him in the Gulf state, according to RMC Sport.
The move for the Italian midfielder may well be a difficult one to pull off but would certainly be a superb addition to the Saudi side.
The gap in valuation remains
According to the same report from the French outlet, the Ligue 1 champions have been offered €45m (£38 million), but are holding out for €50m (£43 million).
The Italian midfielder, however, is seemingly keen on remaining in Europe, but potential suitors are not necessarily keen on matching his club’s valuation and his own salary rate.
After being put in the group of players that were surplus to requirements at the club, this group included Kylian Mbappe, the Italian has been allowed to return to first-team training with the rest of the squad, like Mbappe, so his future could well be resolved sometime soon.
Although there is such a small gap between the two club’s valuation of the midfielder, so it seems the Italian is not too far away from completing the move to the Saudi giants.
